MARCA BIANCA

MARCA BIANCA REGULATIONS – LA PROSECCO UNBOUND

Welcome to LA PROSECCO UNBOUND – MARCA BIANCA, the non-competitive cycling event where the only race is against time… the time separating you from your next glass of Prosecco or the best sandwich on the route. Organized by A.C.D. Pedali di Marca under the F.C.I. Amateur Sector, the event follows the unsupported bikepacking format—so figure it out and ride!

The start is “à la française”, meaning you can begin whenever you want within the designated time window. No one will time you, no one will push you to go faster, and no one will question that extended stop at a winery.

There will be no arrows, signs, or directions because we want you to use your GPS. If you don’t know how to read a map, take this as an opportunity to rediscover the lost art of navigation (or to make new friends by asking for directions).

You can ride any bicycle: gravel, cyclocross, MTB, road bike with suitable tires, e-bike, or even a pedal-powered velocipede. Just not a tricycle with training wheels.

One route. Epic. Infinite. (Or at least, it will feel that way.)
353 km and 5,030 meters of elevation gain.

Start and finish in Conegliano, with a departure window from Thursday, June 19, 5:30 AM to Saturday, June 21, 8:00 AM.

You have plenty of time to ride (but no later than Sunday, June 22, at 8:00 PM), explore, eat, and reflect on your life choices.

In addition to the announced checkpoints, there will be surprise ones. So no, you can’t just take the shortest path… or rather, you can, but then you’ll miss out on the beauty of the unexpected (and a cool stamp on your race plate).

You’ll receive it via email by Sunday, June 15.
Then you’ll need to upload it to your GPS or smartphone. Follow it, or get lost. We warned you.

Open to anyone 18 years or older with a valid medical certificate for cycling (no, a swimming or ping-pong certificate won’t work).

If you don’t have the correct certificate, no registration, no refund. We’re sorry, but health regulations are not.

    • €25 from March 1 to April 30
    • €30 from May 1 to May 31
    • €40 from June 1 to June 15

Only 300 spots available. If you’re late and the spots are gone, you’ll just have to wait until next year (full of regret).

  •

What do you get for your fee?

  • A GPX track (which you can’t even hold in your hands)
  • A handlebar race plate (cool!)
  • A commemorative medal (which you can proudly show off)

At the finish, you’ll find:

  • Paid food services
  • Showers
  • Rooms for rent (for the nights of June 18 and 19)

TECHNICAL PACKETS will be distributed at the event office:

Pick them up at our elegant logistics headquarters, aka:
📍 Campus San Francesco – Via Edmondo de Amicis, 4, Conegliano

  • Wednesday, June 18 – 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (For those who like to get their packet early, maybe while sipping an aperitif)
  • Thursday, June 19 – 5:30 AM – 8:00 PM (For early risers, workers, night owls, and procrastinators)
  • Friday, June 20 – 5:30 AM – 8:00 PM (If you really couldn’t make it on Thursday)
  • Saturday, June 21 – 5:30 AM – 8:00 AM (Last call for chronic latecomers and “Oops, was the event today?!” participants)

There isn’t any. If you get hurt:

  • Plan A: Be self-sufficient
  • Plan B: Have friends with you
  • Plan C: Call emergency services (+39 346 0801468) to let us know you’re quitting.

Also none. Bring a spare tube, a multitool, and maybe a bit of mechanical skill.
If you get a flat and don’t know how to fix it, try puppy eyes at passing cyclists.

For personal safety, every participant must carry:

  • Reflective vest for nighttime riding
  • Handlebar bell
  • Mobile phone
  • Front white light and rear red light

You’re free to get lost, but if you want people to know where you are, activate the KEEPSPORTING APP.
Your friends can follow your ride, and your rivals can check if you’ve been stuck at a food stop for an hour.

  • Helmet required
  • Obey traffic laws
  • No littering (be civilized, not a savage cyclist).

Casco obbligatorio, rispetto del codice della strada, niente rifiuti per terra (siate civili, non ciclisti selvaggi).

You participate at your own risk. If something goes wrong, we are not responsible.
In short: You’re an adult. Own your choices.

You will be photographed. If you don’t want to be in event photos, ride faster than the photographer (good luck with that).

If you find something, bring it to the event office.
If you lose something, hope someone does the same.

If anything changes, we’ll post it on the website.
If you don’t check, don’t complain.

We handle your data seriously, in compliance with Italian privacy laws (D. Lgs. 196/2003).
But don’t worry—we won’t use it to sell you vacuum cleaners.

If you’ve made it this far in the rules, you’re already halfway to the challenge. Now, just sign up, get ready, and embrace the ride!
